Perry-Castaneda Library Map Collection - Maps of Ethiopia
A University of Texas based site containing maps over the country, region and Addis Ababa as well as thematic maps over population, vegetation etc.
The International Red Cross
The ICRC provides maps of Ethiopia which also show the placement of ICRC operations in the country.
Reliefweb provides a series of maps of African countries. They have an extensive section on Ethiopia including a detailed map from National Geographic.
UN Systems Website - map of the Horn of Africa
Provides a fairly detailed map of Ethiopia and the neighboring countries. Note that it is a PDF-file.

A weekly publication which offers a selection of news, features, and articles, some of which focus on the conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea. There is a relevant links section, as well as archives of older material.
Based in the UK, this fortnightly newsletter brings the latest news on political events in Africa. It provides a number of articles on Ethiopia. Note that a subscription is needed to view the full text of each article.

Ethiopian Human Rights Council (EHRCO)
EHRCO is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, aimed to encourage and monitor human rights in Ethiopia. This site offers reports, articles and news on human rights in the country.
The Ethiopian International Institute for Peace and Development (EIIPD)
EIIPD is a semi-governmental institute, which provides foreign service training, capacity-building for public institutions, and conducts research on peace, conflict and policy. The research findings are available on this site.

Deki-Alula: Press Release
A statement of the Conference on Conflict resolution in the Horn of Africa in Bergen, Norway (October 7, 2004). The statement was agreed upon by the participants of the conference (a consultation among Oromo elders, civic associations, professionals, leaders and international scholars organized by the Chr. Michelsen Institute in Bergen) regarding the internal conflict in Ethiopia.

This 2001 report describes the need of "Aid in the Face of War, Food Crisis, and Epidemics" and Doctors Without Borders activity in Ethiopia.
ICG: "Ethiopia and Eritrea: War or Peace?" (Africa Report N°68, 24 September 2003)
This International Crisis Group report analyses the conflict situation in 2003 and gives recommendations to the governments of Ethiopia and Eritrea, to the governments of the US, the AU and the EU as well as to the UN Security Council.
The Institute for African Alternatives: "The Horn of Turbulence"
This report, "The Horn of Turbulence: Identifying the Root Causes of Conflict and the Appropriate Instruments for Peace Building as a Precondition for Sustainable Conflict Resolution" written by Alex Klein, analyses the conflicts in East Africa. It both mentions the Ethiopia-Eritrea conflict as well as Ethiopia's internal war.
