Section B : Programmes





1. COURSES:
The three Summer School courses will run concurrently. Applicants are requested to specify in order of preference their first (1), second (2), third (3) and fourth (4) choices using the popup lists below:

 

Evaluation in Conflict Prone Settings


  Learning from a society in transition: the case of Northern Ireland

  Language, Truth and the Politics of Memory in Conflict


Early application is advised due to the limited number of places per course. INCORE cannot guarantee you will get onto your preferred course however a waiting list of qualified applicants will be kept for each course.





Section C: Required Information


To assist in the selection process, we require that applicants outline their relevant experience in the field of conflict resolution. Forms that fail to provide this information will not be considered.

Section D: Summer School Fees


Reflecting the differences in financial situation, fees for the International Summer School are broken into two organisational categories.

  • The Final deadline for receipt of payment is 25 May 2012 .
  • Fees include tuition and supporting materials.
  • Accommodation
    University accommodation is provided for six nights from Sunday 17 June until Saturday morning, 23
    June at cost of £141.00 (Pounds Sterling)

Section E: Methods of Payment

Please indicate below your preferred method of payment:

By cheque - all cheques must be made out in pounds sterling and made payable to ‘University of Ulster’.


By credit card
– A payment form will be emailed to you with instructions on how to pay if your application is successful.  Note that all credit card payments will be subject to verification.

By Bank Transfer - Further details will be emailed to you if your application is successful.

Note: Bank Transfers are subject to bank charges. Please ensure that you take account of this when making payment. Lengthy delays can occur from the date you issue payment until INCORE receives confirmation of receipt of payment by the University of Ulster central finance office.

  • For the purposes of visa applications, INCORE cannot issue letters of acceptance until receipt of payment has been confirmed by the University of Ulster central finance office.
  • Please ensure your total payment includes the full tuition fee and, if applicable, the accommodation fee.
  • You will be notified by email of the outcome of your application and an email confirming your place will be sent to you as soon as University of Ulster Central Finance Office has processed your payment.
  • Modules will only proceed subject to sufficient numbers of participants.
  • INCORE does not provide any scholarships for participants.

GUIDANCE NOTES

  1. Please note that fluency in English is required for attending the INCORE International Summer School.

  2. INCORE will endeavour to respond as quickly as possible. If your application is successful, details on how to pay by your chosen method of payment will be emailed to you.

  3. The three Summer School courses will run at the same time. Therefore it is only possible to take one of the three courses.

  4. To register online - Complete all relevant sections on the form and click the submit button.

  5. The final deadline for registration is 25 May 2012.

  6. Full payment of tuition and accommodation fees should reach us on acceptance of application.

  7. Cancellations before 25 May 2012 will be subject to an administration fee of 25%.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations after this date.

  9. In the event of insufficient participant registration, INCORE reserves the right to cancel the Summer School and a full refund of your fee will be made.
