Thursday, 14 January 2016, Ulster University, Belfast, Northern Ireland

The Transitional Justice Institute (TJI), the International Conflict Research Institute (INCORE) and the Institute for Research in Social Sciences (IRISS) at Ulster University are hosting a one-day postgraduate conference on 'Masculinities, Violence and (Post-) Conflict' on 14 January 2016 at Ulster University, Belfast Campus in Northern Ireland.

The conference brings together a vast variety of scholars and students working on the intersections between gender, masculinities, violence and (post-)conflict, and includes a diversity of papers with different methodological and theoretical approaches and with divergent empirical foci. The event will offer academic presentations, peer discussion, networking opportunities and expert feedback in a supportive environment.

A keynote speech will be delivered by Dr. Chris Dolan from the Refugee Law Project (RLP) in Uganda, and a concluding presentation will be given by Prof. Brandon Hamber, INCORE, Ulster University. The conference will be concluded by the launch of the book 'Boys, Young Men and Violence: Masculinities, Education and Practice' by Dr. Ken Harland and Prof. Sam McGready (Ulster University).

Please find the conference programme attached. Further information are available on the TJI website.
